Educ 109 – Educational Technology

This is a post for my upcoming course at Drake University on educational technology.  This course introduce students to various technologies that may have utility for enhancing students’ learning experiences.  While the course will include practical instruction on how to use many technologies, our focus will be on how to avoid simply entertaining students and leveraging technologies to expand and deepen student thinking.  We will also critically examine the use of technology in our schools and our culture.

While students will be required to engage in the ongoing discussion, I hope many of you in the online PLN will also choose to participate and help my students gain greater perspective and depth in their reflections.
